Midnight Madness
There's no sense beating around the bush so I'll get right to it. I went to see the midnight showing of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire last night/this morning at the Island 16 Delux multiplex by my house.
But being a certifiable 'Potterhead' plus being a compulsive movie goer, I simply had no choice but to be amongst the first to see this latest adaptation of JK Rowling's juggernaut series. Then again I knew I was getting off of work at around 11 so I figured why not? So I went to the theater before I went to work (around 2pm) and it was a good thing I did because one of the tow showings was already sold out. After purchasing my ticket the cashier advised me to get to the theater early, "People are goin nuts over this movie." Nuts indeed. And yes I realize that I am a dork. But most of you knew that already.
Don't worry I don't plan on getting carried away and spoil any of it for you that are fellow fans of the books and or the other movies.
All I'll say is that it Goblet of Fire is the Empire Strikes Back of the Harry Potter realm. And that's saying something considering how much I regard "Empire." I also feel the analogy is appropriate because, as one of the movie's tag lines says: "Everything is about to Change", that's exactly how I felt way back when after hearing Darth Vader offer up his dirty little secret to Luke.
Anyway that's all for now, cheers!
