It's been a while....
since the Giants and Rangers have been in first place at this time of the season. So being a die hard fan of both teams, life's pretty good right now.
As far as the Rangers go though, it's still too early to get too excited about their success. However, with the Giants having a 2 game cushion going into Washington this week, I'm pretty giddy these days. I can almost smell the playoffs right now but I also realize that there is a lot of work left to do. I would feel even giddier if Eli were playing better but as long as we have Tiki I know we have a fighting chance.
Almost done with my Christmas shopping, hopefully I can finish up tomorrow and start wrapping presents on Wednesday. I swear, the older I get the faster the Holidays seem to sneak up on me. I'm also looking forward to having dinner at Cathy and Dwayne's house on Friday. It'll be nice seeing everyone in a holiday setting of sorts. It's too bad we won't be doing Secret Santa though (Bah humbug).
As far as New Year's goes I don't have any plans. I'm not too worried about it though, something usually comes up. One things for sure, I don't intend on paying $100 to go somewhere to drink. Hopefully I won't get too out of hand since I have to work New Year's day over at CBS. Come to think of it, that could be an ugly scene in a funny way.
Speaking of working, I never thought I'd hear myself say this but I'm sure glad I don't live in the city. This whole transit strike debacle has the makings to be a real cluster fuck. Being on the outside looking in, this is playing out like some bizarre mass (transit) hostage situation.
