The End is Near
Three weeks from tomorrow I will be out of a job....again. Oh the cruel nature of working in television. I dunno, for some reason I'm not as worried about it as I was last month. Something always seems to come up but I gotta tell ya, with the Writers Guild at the brink of going on strike next week, my attitude towards finding the next 'gig' might change.
Moving right along, as some of you might know I've been pushing really hard for some of you to check out two new shows: Pushing Daisies on ABC and Gossip Girl on the CW. Well, not to toot my own horn but I'm pleased to report that both shows are amongst the first to be picked up for the rest of the season. So to those of you who have heeded my advice, I thank you. For the rest of you it's time to get on the those shows' respective bandwagons. T-Billz in the house!
Speaking of bandwagons, how good is it to be from Massachusetts/New England? As I write, the Red Sox just put the finishing touches on Game 2 of The World Series taking a 2-0 lead back to Colorado. An hour before that #2 ranked Boston College, led by Heisman hopeful Matt Ryan, put the finishing touches on a miraculous 14-10 victory on the road in Blacksburg.
The Eagles were down 10-0 with a little over 4 minutes left to play but somehow managed to score, recover the onside kick and then score again! Mix in the new-look Celtics and it must be downright giddy in Beantown these days. And don't get me started about the Patriots.
Anyway that's all for now, next time I'll try and come up with some last minute costume ideas for you would be trick or treaters.
