Adjusting

Don't get me wrong, having some free time before I start work has been great. But getting used to a new routine has been a little weird just because taking care of my Dad still requires me getting up early, albeit not til 8 am instead of 6:30 am.

For many of my friends now that have babies of their own I kinda know what they go through since my Dad is still recovering from his open heart surgery, he's still limited to what he can do. The main difference being that he is fully grown and harder to lift and carry. Having to constantly help him get in and out of bed, making sure he doesn't fall when he walks, taking him to and from the bathroom, as well as helping him take a shower definitely takes its toll.

Still, I'm grateful that I am around to be able to help him and my Mom because she's still dealing with pain from her right knee replacement surgery. With both parents being on the mend and working full time, it's been hard staying in touch with people and for that I am truly sorry. Now that my Dad is doing a lot better I'm hoping to rectify that very soon.

Huffin and Puffin

Dragged myself to the gym tonight and absolutlely stuggled to get past 15 minutes on the treadmill. Lungs/chest felt heavy most of the run but afterwards I felt pretty good. Been feeling really sluggish lately and I guess being really out of shape could be a main reason why. Needless to say, I have a lot of work to do if I'm going to be able to compete on April 25th for the 2009 Tony Regina game.

Daylight Savings

Winding down from what seemed like a long week. Worked second straight Sunday at CBS and think I should be ready for the Madness once again. Once again it was great seeing people there I didn't see last week and grateful that I have the added opportunity to make some extra scratch while I wait for "Millionaire" to start shooting towards the end of the month.

I'm really looking forward to some time off and am looking to make the most of it to get a lot of things in order. Like finally cleaning the disaster area I call a room, as well as getting back to the gym. Been feeling sluggish the last few weeks and it's because I've really been slacking and haven't been eating well at all. Time to nip this downward trend in the bud before I wake up one morning and realize that I need to be on "The Biggest Loser."
